Case Study

Building a maintenance platform from the ground up

A first-hand look at how we approach a build — starting with a facility's real equipment, real workflow, and real constraints.

The situation

A warehouse and distribution facility needed a maintenance management system that could handle a mixed equipment fleet — forklifts, battery chargers, packaging line equipment, and more — without forcing every category into the same rigid form.

The facility had also previously experienced a data security incident and lost historical records as a result. Any new system needed to treat data protection as a starting requirement, not an afterthought.

The approach

We started with the equipment itself — building a category-driven asset system so a forklift, a battery charger, and a packaging conveyor each show only the fields relevant to them.

From there, preventive maintenance schedules and work orders were built to connect directly to those assets, so a PM due date can generate a real work order automatically — no separate spreadsheet to maintain.

Why it matters

This build reflects exactly how we work with every client: start with the real operation, build only what's needed, and treat data protection as foundational — not optional.
